Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople and project managers in various construction activities, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute significantly to the successful completion of construction projects. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse aspects of building and remodeling work while supporting a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of building materials, including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and trim carpentry components. Support the setup and operation of power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment as directed by supervisors. Help interpret and follow construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Participate in outdoor work activities such as roofing, stucco application, concrete finishing, and landscaping (hardscape). Aid in the installation of windows, doors, glass panels, and other fixtures while maintaining safety protocols. Contribute to site cleanup, material handling, and organization to promote a safe and efficient work environment. Collaborate with team members on various projects involving restoration, remodeling, or new building construction. Requirements Prior construction experience or familiarity with building sites is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of construction tools, power tools, hand tools, and safety procedures. Ability to read blueprints or schematics and interpret technical drawings accurately. Experience with construction inspection, estimating, or managing construction plans is a plus. Outdoor work experience across different weather conditions is desirable. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, framing carpentry, or flooring installation is advantageous. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
