Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in long-term care to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using safe handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor vital signs regularly and report any significant changes to nursing staff. Assist with medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA guidelines. Support patients with dementia or memory care needs by implementing specialized care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and health status within electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems). Ensure infection control practices are followed diligently, including aseptic techniques during procedures. Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and equipment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or behavioral health interventions. Support the safe use of medical equipment including Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing training related to emergency procedures like CPR and basic life support (BLS). Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working as a CNA in long-term care settings or similar environments. Experience working with diverse populations—including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or behavioral health support—is highly valued. Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
