Seasonal Carpenter Apprentice We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Seasonal Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is interested in learning the carpentry trade while gaining valuable experience building decks, pergolas, and other outdoor structures. The ideal candidate has one year of construction or carpentry experience , takes pride in doing quality work, works well as part of a team, and is eager to learn new skills. You will work alongside experienced crew members and receive instruction and hands-on training throughout the job. What You'll DoJobsite Preparation & Organization Help unload and stage tools, equipment, and materials needed for each day's work. Prepare and organize the jobsite so the crew can work safely and efficiently. Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the day. Remove scrap materials, offcuts, packaging, and debris as work progresses. Return tools and equipment to the trailer when they are no longer needed. Help clean and properly reset the jobsite, work areas, and company trailer at the end of each workday. Carpentry & Construction Assist experienced carpenters and crew leads with deck and pergola construction. Assist with demolition, material preparation, installation, and other construction tasks. Learn to safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment appropriate to your level of training. Follow instructions from crew leads and learn proper construction techniques and procedures. Help measure, cut, move, and install building materials. Properly use, care for, and maintain company tools and equipment. Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. What We're Looking For Little to one year of construction or carpentry experience preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important . Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn the carpentry trade. Ability to listen to instructions and accept coaching from experienced crew members. Takes pride in quality workmanship and keeping a clean, organized work area. Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work. Basic familiarity with tools such as a tape measure, hammer, drill, and saw is helpful. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This position involves physically demanding outdoor construction work.
Candidates must be able to:
Frequently lift, carry, turn, and move materials weighing 60-80 lbs , including treated 2×12 lumber and DiamondPier footings. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Work above ground level and reach overhead as needed. Work at elevated heights, in confined or cramped spaces, and on uneven terrain. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. Schedule Full-time, seasonal position Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Seasonal work expected to continue through the end of the year, weather permitting Compensation $18-$20 per hour , depending on experience.
