Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and coordinate various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires hands-on experience in multiple areas of construction, including but not limited to framing, trim carpentry, and restoration. Duties Supervise and mentor a team of construction workers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle. Perform construction estimating to assess project costs and resource requirements. Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure proper implementation of designs. Oversee concrete forming, plastering, rebar installation, and other essential construction activities. Manage fabrication processes for custom projects as needed. Conduct roofing, siding, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation tasks as part of the project scope. Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site while maintaining a clean work environment. Assist in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other restoration services as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople to facilitate plumbing, electrical work, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, and remodeling efforts. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move materials or equipment on-site. Requirements Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry and restoration work. Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and project management principles. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other relevant equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective project execution. Familiarity with various aspects of construction including roofing, siding, caulking, stucco application, drywall installation, metal stud framing, painting, woodworking, and assembly tasks. Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting requirements associated with construction tasks.
