Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skilled Laborer / Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and construction tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise construction and renovation tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing components using hand tools and power tools for walls, floors, ceilings, and structural elements. Perform trim carpentry including door hanging, fixture installation, molding, and cabinetry work with attention to detail. Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering to support foundational and structural elements. Assist with roofing installation, siding application, stucco finishing, and water damage restoration projects. Operate CNC machinery for fabrication or assembly tasks when required; utilize schematics for accurate fabrication. Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on construction sites. Support remodeling efforts by installing flooring, tile laying, electrical fixtures, plumbing components, and cabinetry. Participate in restoration projects including mold remediation and water damage repair with precision. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently while maintaining equipment in good working condition. Follow safety guidelines rigorously to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in carpentry or skilled labor roles. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate project execution. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, grinders. Knowledge of various trades including framing carpentry, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary. Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall finishing (plastering), siding application or restoration industry projects is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites; OSHA certification is preferred but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and interpret technical instructions accurately. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred; willingness to learn new skills across different trades is valued.
