Manufacturing Full Job Description Woodshop Technician Summary/Purpose:
The Wood Shop Technician performs general finish carpentry in the manufacturing, modification and repair of stairways and stair parts. Training is provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the completion of work orders by manufacturing, and modifying wood product's associated with stair parts
  • Clean shop
  • Organize and maintain equipment and tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • General carpentry experience
  • Experience using typical wood shop equipment including saws and power tools
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to accurately measure and cut.
  • Professional flexibility to embrace change
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position and work within described conditions
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and maintain a clean driver record
Working Conditions:
Position requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; frequent bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; frequent lifting and moving items weight 50 pounds and over. Position involves moderate risks of discomfort which requires special safety precautions. The use of protective clothing and or gear, such as gloves, safety glasses and back braces may be required to prevent injury. The work environment may be somewhat uncomfortable including exposure to heat, cold, dust and loud noise.
