Competitive, based on experience and skill level Position Overview DeWalls Acoustic Specialties is seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter with Fabric and Upholstery experience to join our production and installation team. This is a specialized craftsmanship position combining finish carpentry, fabric work, upholstery techniques, architectural finishes, and acoustic product installation . We are looking for someone who is extremely detail-oriented and comfortable producing finished architectural products where clean edges, tight fabric, straight seams, precise cuts, alignment, and overall appearance matter. Experience specifically in acoustics is preferred but not required . Candidates with strong backgrounds in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, fabric installation, millwork, cabinetry, exhibit fabrication, or finish carpentry are encouraged to apply. What You'll Work On Our team manufactures and installs custom architectural acoustic treatments, including: Fabric-wrapped acoustic wall panels Stretch-fabric wall systems Upholstered architectural panels Custom acoustic ceiling treatments Wood and fabric acoustic systems Wood slat acoustic systems Decorative architectural treatments Custom-built acoustic products Specialty wall and ceiling installations Projects include commercial offices, schools, churches, auditoriums, restaurants, recording environments, entertainment spaces, and high-end residential projects. Responsibilities Build and install custom fabric-wrapped acoustic panels Cut, stretch, wrap, staple, and finish architectural fabrics Produce clean corners, edges, seams, and transitions Work with upholstery fabrics and specialty architectural textiles Perform finish carpentry and detailed fabrication Cut and assemble wood, MDF, plywood, fiberglass, and other materials Install wood slat and decorative acoustic systems Measure and lay out walls and ceilings accurately Read architectural plans, elevations, and shop drawings Use table saws, miter saws, routers, drills, pneumatic staplers, and standard carpentry tools Perform field modifications for proper fit and finish Maintain consistent spacing, reveals, alignment, level, and plumb Protect finished surfaces during installation Maintain a clean and organized production and job-site environment Identify problems and communicate field conditions to the Foreman Follow company quality-control and safety procedures Fabric & Upholstery Skills Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply: Furniture upholstery Fabric stretching and wrapping Architectural fabric installation Fabric wall systems Upholstered wall panels Headboards or custom furniture Marine or automotive upholstery Drapery or textile fabrication Exhibit or trade-show fabrication Acoustic panel manufacturing Custom furniture manufacturing You should understand how fabric behaves when stretched, tensioned, folded, wrapped, stapled, and finished around corners and complex shapes. Qualifications Required:
