Job Description
Skilled Remodeling Carpenter— Full Time San Antonio, TX | $22 to $24/hour About Us PHRS Remodeling is a locally owned residential remodeling company serving San Antonio and surrounding communities. We specialize in quality residential remodeling and believe in doing things the right way—providing quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and treating every client's home with care and respect. We are looking for experienced, dependable tradespeople who take pride in their work and want the opportunity to grow with our company. Position Overview We are seeking a Skilled Remodeling Carpenter with hands-on residential remodeling experience. Our greatest needs are finish/trim carpentry and cabinet installation, along with the ability to perform drywall work, residential framing, demolition, and general remodeling tasks. This is not an entry-level labor position. Candidates should already have professional hands-on experience in multiple areas listed below and be able to complete skilled work accurately and efficiently. Because much of our work takes place inside occupied homes, professionalism, respectful communication, cleanliness, attention to detail, and appropriate jobsite conduct are essential parts of this position. Primary Responsibilities
- Install baseboards, door and window casing, crown molding, and other interior finish trim
- Perform finish carpentry, trim repairs, and detailed finish work
- Install kitchen, bathroom, and other cabinetry
- Properly level, secure, align, and adjust cabinets
- Complete cabinet trim-out including fillers, panels, molding, toe kicks, and other finish components
- Accurately measure, cut, fit, level, and install finish materials
- Perform drywall installation, patching, taping, floating, sanding, and finishing
- Apply and match common drywall textures
- Prepare drywall surfaces for paint
- Perform residential framing, blocking, and other framing associated with remodeling projects
- Perform careful demolition, material removal, and project preparation
- Complete assigned work according to project instructions and PHRS Remodeling's quality standards
- Identify and communicate material needs or potential jobsite issues
- Protect flooring, furniture, cabinetry, and surrounding areas while working in clients' homes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Clean work areas at the end of each workday
- Work independently when appropriate and alongside other team members as needed Required Experience & Skills Qualified candidates should have professional, hands-on experience in multiple areas of residential remodeling, with strong experience in finish carpentry and/or cabinet installation. We are especially looking for candidates with experience in:
- Finish and trim carpentry
- Cabinet installation and cabinet trim-out
- Drywall installation, repair, and finishing
- Residential framing
- Residential remodeling and demolition
- Accurate measuring, cutting, fitting, leveling, and installation
- Safe and proper use of standard construction and carpentry tools The Person We're Looking For The right person for

- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle and transportation to jobsites
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical construction work throughout the workday
- Strong communication skills
- Professional and respectful when interacting with homeowners
- Ability to safely and properly use construction and carpentry tools Compensation & Benefits
- $22-$24/hour starting pay, based on experience and demonstrated skill level
- Performance-based bonus program
- 6 paid days off per year (vacation/holiday)
- Fuel compensation for jobs outside Loop 1604 (San Antonio area)
