This role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials on various industrial and civil projects. Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, steel, and other building materials.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, falsework, and temporary structures.
- Perform formwork construction for concrete pours, including setting, bracing, and stripping.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Civil Carpenter or similar role in industrial or civil construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, formwork, trim work, and finish carpentry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Must possess own basic carpentry hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
