JR100659 Job Summary Primoris Energy Services is seeking skilled Civil Carpenters to join our team in Sherman, Texas. This role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials on various industrial and civil projects. Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, steel, and other building materials.
Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, falsework, and temporary structures.
Perform formwork construction for concrete pours, including setting, bracing, and stripping.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Civil Carpenter or similar role in industrial or civil construction.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, formwork, trim work, and finish carpentry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Must possess own basic carpentry hand tools.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
