Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across various commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all structures, fixtures, and finishes meet safety standards, specifications, and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that go into highly visible locations around the country, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Measure, cut, assemble, laminate, and/or install custom millwork utilizing different materials such as wood, solid surface, metal, and more. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for woodworking and fabrication tasks. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for construction site activities. Follow construction safety protocols related to power tool use, heavy lifting techniques, and site/shop safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry disciplines. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools for woodworking including drills and sanders; woodworking machines; and other construction tools. Knowledge of construction materials like plywood, acrylic solid surface, plastic laminate, adhesives, cabinet hardware, etc. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Valid driver's license preferred.
