Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Deck and Dock Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining decks, docks, and related structures with precision and safety. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, high-quality outdoor spaces that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry, concrete forming, and heavy equipment operation skills to deliver exceptional results. Duties Construct and install decks, docks, ramps, and other outdoor structures using carpentry and masonry techniques Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction according to specifications Prepare construction sites by performing heavy lifting, site clearing, and layout marking in compliance with safety protocols Operate power tools, concrete mixers, boats , and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various project Apply knowledge of construction estimating to assist in project planning and material procurement Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members Experience Proven experience working on construction projects involving decking, dock building, or similar outdoor structures Strong knowledge of carpentry including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, stucco application, plastering, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration work Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings or schematics for precise project execution Experience operating power tools such as saws, drills, as well as heavy machinery like forklifts or cranes when required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during concrete pouring, finishing, or masonry tasks Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols in your region Demonstrated ability to work effectively on diverse construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety compliance Join our team if you're ready to build impressive outdoor structures with energy and precision!
