Construction LaborerJob Overview:
A construction company is seeking dependable and motivated Carpenter/Laborer candidates to support residential and commercial construction projects. Opportunities are available for both experienced construction professionals and entry-level candidates interested in developing hands-on carpentry and construction skills. Responsibilities may include carpentry, framing, drywall installation, remodeling, finish work, material handling, and general construction support. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team. Duties Perform carpentry and general construction duties based on experience and assigned project needs. Assist with framing, siding, trim work, drywall installation, door installation, cabinetry, fixtures, and other construction activities. Use hand and power tools safely and appropriately. Measure, cut, assemble, and install construction materials according to project specifications. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, measurements, or technical drawings when required for the assigned position. Assist with remodeling, renovation, restoration, and interior finishing projects. Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and supplies. Maintain clean and organized job sites and properly store tools and equipment. Follow established job-site safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns. Assist carpenters and other skilled tradespeople with project-related duties as needed. Qualifications Previous carpentry, construction, remodeling, restoration, woodworking, or general labor experience is preferred for experienced-level positions. Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with hand and power tools is preferred. Ability to accurately take measurements and follow verbal and written instructions. Experience reading blueprints or construction plans is preferred for positions requiring independent carpentry work. Experience with framing, drywall, siding, trim, cabinetry, doors, fixtures, or similar construction work is a plus. Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with construction work, including lifting and moving building materials. Ability to work safely in varying job-site conditions, which may include working at heights or in confined spaces when required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work effectively with others. Commitment to following established safety procedures and proper equipment-use practices.
