Skillforce is hiring Commercial Carpenters for ongoing project work in Charlottesville and Mineral, Virginia. As a Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for layout, framing, and finish carpentry on commercial remodel and data center construction projects. Commercial Carpenter Pay:

$28.00 to $32.00 per hour on Charlottesville remodel work, based on your commercial carpentry experience. $25.00 to $29.00 per hour on Mineral data center work, based on your commercial carpentry experience. W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Commercial Carpenter Schedule:

Monday through Friday, day shift, with overtime available as the project schedule requires. You will be assigned to the Charlottesville or Mineral site based on current project needs.

Commercial Carpenter Responsibilities:

You will lay out and frame interior and exterior walls, including metal stud and wood framing, working from prints. You will hang and finish drywall, set blocking and backing, and build soffits, bulkheads, and ceiling framing. You will install doors, frames, and hardware, and run trim, casework, and other finish carpentry. On remodel work, you will rebuild around existing conditions, and on the data center site, you will frame and finish new construction. You will read blueprints and shop drawings, direct the laborers assigned to you, and keep your work area organized and safe.

Commercial Carpenter Qualifications:

You have two or more years of commercial carpentry experience, ideally on institutional or new construction projects. You are comfortable running your own layout from prints and working to dimension without constant supervision. You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite each day. You bring your own hand tools and PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, boots, and vest. You can pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, and you are authorized to work in the United States.
