Temporary/Contract Job Summary We are seeking experienced Carpenters for a 1-month contract position. Carpenters will be responsible for building wooden skids, pallets, crates, and other shipping/packaging structures. This position will also perform general miscellaneous shop work as needed. Responsibilities Build wooden skids, pallets, crates, and shipping boxes according to specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and secure lumber and other wood materials. Operate common carpentry and shop tools safely and efficiently. Read basic measurements, drawings, or work instructions. Inspect completed work for proper dimensions, quality, and structural integrity. Perform miscellaneous shop duties, material handling, and cleanup as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. Qualifications Previous carpentry, woodworking, pallet, crate, or millwork experience preferred. Ability to accurately measure and cut lumber. Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to lift and move materials and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a shop environment. Compensation $25.00 per hour This is a 1-month temporary contract with potential for extension based on business needs and performance. #
