Full-Time Carpenter - Busch Gardens Williamsburg What you get to do: Perform all functions of general carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees. Select proper materials for jobs Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent Miust be at least 18 years old Posess a valid driver's license 3+ years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade Experience with cabinet building and framing, fabrications of solid surface and laminate countertops, roof repairs, drywall installation, concrete work, and more. Ability to work with blueprints or in-depth sketches Ability to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition Excellent written and verbal communication skills Possess basic mathematical skills Work at heights up to 100 feet, work on scaffolding up to 24 feet, and ability to climb and work off of ladders Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, loud noises/vibrations and cold/heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
