Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter/Supervisor to oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled carpenters and construction workers, coordinate project schedules, review blueprints and schematics, and manage daily operations on-site. Your expertise in construction management software, safety regulations, and technical drawing interpretation will drive project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex construction efforts while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and team development. Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews, managing daily activities to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and budget. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction processes accurately. Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management tools to optimize workflow and resource allocation. Oversee safety compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations across all job sites. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials meet project specifications and delivery timelines. Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to construction drawings, schematics, and industry standards. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, or Primavera P6 for project documentation, tracking progress, and reporting. Review contracts and manage project budgets to maintain financial health while meeting project goals. Supervise the interpretation of technical drawings and schematics for accurate implementation on-site. Oversee construction site safety protocols with tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when applicable. Facilitate effective communication among management teams, clients, subcontractors, and crew members to ensure clarity and coordination. Experience Proven experience in heavy commercial or federal construction projects with a strong background in supervising teams on-site. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and federal safety standards specific to construction environments. Experience managing contracts, budgets, and project documentation within a fast-paced construction setting. Skilled in managing multiple crews simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques using HeavyBid or equivalent software is preferred.
