Assistant Carpenter (Residential Construction)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Carpenter to support our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of carpentry or construction experience and be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including at heights. This role involves assisting the Lead Carpenter with daily tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Carpenter with all aspects of residential construction and carpentry work Measure, cut, and assemble materials as directed Load, unload, and organize tools and materials on job sites Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Help with framing, trim work, siding, and general carpentry tasks Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in residential construction or carpentry Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work well with others and follow direction from the Lead Carpenter Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with framing, roofing, or finish carpentry Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Environment:

Residential construction sites Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Physically demanding role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
