$29-$35 per hour, depending on experience About McLeod Construction McLeod Construction is a general contractor serving the Puget Sound region. Our work includes multifamily, commercial, insurance restoration, and residential repair projects. We take pride in quality craftsmanship, professional service, and doing the job right. We're looking for an experienced Interior Carpenter with strong drywall repair and finishing skills. Much of this position involves restoring water-damaged homes, occupied condominiums, and multifamily properties after mitigation is complete. You'll handle drywall and ceiling repairs, texture matching, finish carpentry, and other interior restoration work. Employment Eligibility (E-Verify) McLeod Construction participates in the federal E-Verify program. After accepting a conditional offer of employment, all new hires will complete the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process. Employment eligibility will then be confirmed through the federal E-Verify program, as required by law. What You'll Do Complete flood-cut repairs, drywall patches, and larger wall and ceiling repairs. Tape, mud, sand, finish, and prepare repaired surfaces for paint. Match existing textures, including orange peel, knockdown, hand texture, and smooth finishes. Install and repair baseboards, trim, door and window casings, cabinets, and other interior finish carpentry. Perform flooring, painting, and other interior repairs as project needs require. Determine the materials needed for assigned work. Keep work areas clean and organized, especially in occupied homes. Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, project managers, and team members. Use company apps for work orders, timekeeping, and photo documentation. Work independently while meeting McLeod's standards for quality, safety, and customer service. What You Bring At least 3 years of professional drywall repair and finishing experience . Strong patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching skills. Experience with water-damage and flood-cut repairs. Finish carpentry skills, including trim, baseboards, doors, and casings. The ability to plan and complete repairs with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and pride in a clean finished product. Professional communication and customer service skills. Comfort working in occupied homes and multifamily buildings. Comfort using smartphones or tablets for job documentation. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Puget Sound region, sometimes visiting more than one site in a day. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work overhead, bend and kneel frequently, and work from ladders or scaffolding. Experience with cabinet repairs, LVP or vinyl flooring, carpet or tile repairs, countertops, shower surrounds, interior painting, and insurance restoration is a plus. Tools & Equipment Candidates must have the professional tools needed for their work, including drywall finishing tools, texture equipment, a drill and impact driver, sanders, ladders, and standard carpentry and hand tools. Additional tools may be needed depending on the work assigned. Additional Requirements A conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening, where applicable. A valid driver's license is preferred. What We Offer $29-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Eight paid holidays per year.
