Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute complex construction projects with precision and efficiency. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing carpentry teams, interpreting detailed design plans and measurments and ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead construction efforts across diverse projects, including remodeling, restoration, and custom carpentry. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, inspiring your team and delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate carpentry crews to complete projects on time, within scope, and to high standards of craftsmanship Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, schematics, and measurements accurately to guide project execution Perform and supervise framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and other finish work Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently on-site Ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications throughout all phases of construction Collaborate with project managers to plan daily activities, estimate materials needed, and coordinate with subcontractors or suppliers as necessary Identify problems early and help find workable solutions. Maintain clean, organized job sites and protect occupied homes. Complete punch lists and check that finished work meets company standards. Skills Extensive experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim carpentry, drywall, masonry, and roofing Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans with attention to dimensional measurements Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including lifts and other machinery relevant to construction sites Excellent hand tool mastery along with tape measure proficiency for precise measurements Basic math skills necessary for accurate calculations related to dimensions and quantities An eye for fit, alignment, reveals, and finished details. Experience in remodeling projects that require detailed craftsmanship and attention to detail Dependability, good organization, and professional communication with clients and coworkers. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards; excellent communication skills for interpreting technical instructions
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
