YES Put your craftsmanship to work on the water. S3 Maritime is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our Seattle team and help expand our in-house woodworking capabilities. With an established carpentry shop and a variety of custom yacht projects, this position offers the opportunity to apply your skills to work where precision, fit, and finish matter. Marine industry experience is welcome but not required. We are looking for a skilled woodworker with strong attention to detail, pride in their craftsmanship, and an interest in applying their experience to the unique challenges of vessel interiors and custom marine carpentry. About S3 Maritime S3 Maritime provides service, repair, and refit solutions for recreational and commercial vessels throughout the Greater Seattle area. While most projects are based locally, S3 Maritime also provides mobile service throughout the West Coast and Alaska, with international travel when contracted. What You'll Do Measure, template, plan, fabricate, and install custom woodworking projects aboard yachts and other vessels. Complete work with close attention to fitment, finish quality, and the surrounding vessel surfaces. Safely operate woodworking equipment, including saws, drill presses, sanders, and related shop machinery. Use hand and power tools effectively for fabrication, installation, and detailed finish work. Discuss project goals with customers and help identify appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and installation options. Coordinate with other technicians and management to keep projects organized and moving forward. Record labor, materials, job progress, and project notes in the company's ERP software to support accurate job costing and reporting. Complete required paperwork and communicate changes, challenges, and material needs promptly. Assist with purchasing, receiving, and stocking project materials. Maintain tools and equipment and keep the shop and onboard work areas clean, safe, and organized. What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience in woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, or finish carpentry. Proficiency with common woodworking machinery, hand tools, and installation techniques. Ability to take accurate measurements, develop templates, and plan custom work. Knowledge of wood products, hardware, finishes, and material selection. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to custom spaces and installation conditions. Professional communication skills and comfort discussing project details with customers. Dependability, organization, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn marine applications and work collaboratively with the broader service team.
