Cedar Craft Sauna's mission is to make America's saunas better. We are a specialty construction company that only works on saunas . We perform sauna remodels, repairs, maintenance, and new builds for residential and commercial customers throughout the Greater Seattle area. Because we specialize exclusively in saunas, we care about details that a general contractor may overlook—from the way cedar is installed and benches are built to proper insulation, vapor barriers, ventilation, heater clearances, and the overall functionality of the space. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and work alongside laborers, apprentices, and basic carpenters. Manage the day-to-day progress of sauna projects after reviewing the scope and expectations. Communicate regularly with the owner regarding project progress, challenges, materials, and next steps. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the project. Perform high-quality finish carpentry with a strong focus on detail and craftsmanship. Perform occasional rough framing and structural carpentry. Install insulation and vapor barrier systems according to project requirements. Install interior sauna wall and ceiling cladding, including tongue-and-groove material. Build and install custom sauna benches. Hang and install sauna doors. Perform detailed trim and finish work. Complete demolition and preparation work as required for remodel and repair projects. Supervise subcontractors working on the project and coordinate their work with the overall project schedule. Identify potential problems before they become larger issues and communicate them promptly. Help train less-experienced team members in proper construction techniques and Cedar Craft Sauna standards. Maintain professional communication with clients when working in occupied homes or commercial spaces. Protect finished surfaces, materials, and the client's property throughout the project. Follow applicable safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment. Take pride in the finished product and ensure work meets Cedar Craft Sauna's quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of professional finish carpentry experience. Experience with rough carpentry/framing. Strong finish carpentry skills and exceptional attention to detail. Previous sauna construction experience is strongly preferred but not required . Ability to lead and work effectively with laborers, apprentices, and less-experienced carpenters. Ability to supervise subcontractors and coordinate their work on the jobsite. Self-motivated and able to work independently after understanding the project scope. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to figure out how to execute unique or custom work. Takes genuine pride in craftsmanship and understands the importance of doing work correctly rather than simply getting it done. Willingness to learn specialized sauna construction techniques. Professional and respectful attitude when working in clients' homes and commercial properties. Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when something is unclear. Reliable, punctual, and organized. Ability to work a consistent 8:00 AM-4:00 PM schedule. Ability to perform physically demanding construction work on a regular basis, including lifting 50-75+ lbs . Must own basic carpentry hand tools and power tools. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be willing and able to pass a background check.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are an experienced finish carpenter who wants more than just another construction job. You can lead a small crew without constantly being told what to do, but you also communicate well and aren't afraid to ask questions when you need clarification. You may already have sauna construction experience, or you may be an excellent carpenter who is excited to learn a specialized trade. Either way, you should have high standards, a strong work ethic, and genuine pride in being a craftsman.
