Experienced Carpenter — Custom Home Operations. Full-time, Sequim WA. $30-$40/hr.
DATE:
Immediate. Honestly, needed last month.
MISSION ATTENTION.
Cornerstone Builders, LLC — veteran-owned, operating continuously in the Sequim and Port Angeles sectors since 1981 — is conducting selection for one (1) experienced carpenter.
The mission:
frame and finish custom homes, additions, and whole-house remodels. Designed in-house. No repeat floor plans, no two alike. Expected to stand dry, square, and beautiful for the next several hundred years. Your primary role is framing. Bags on, most days, most of the year — floors, walls, roofs, foundation through exterior finish, plus interior finish work depending on what you bring to the team. Jobsites around Sequim Port Angeles. Mostly from Diamond point to Ediz hook. Our Headquarters is at 261641 Hwy 101, Sequim. This is not a job where you vanish into a subdivision. Every house you touch has your fingerprints on it, in a town small enough that everyone knows whose they are. We build homes to improve our clients' lives. We run the company to do the same for the people who build them.
Terrain :
wet. Command climate : relaxed.
Coffee :
constant.
THE ENEMY
Water. It does not sleep. It has infinite patience and a perfect memory for the flashing detail somebody rushed on a Friday afternoon. It also fights dirty. It will find the gap at your cuff the second you reach overhead. It will turn a set of plans into oatmeal, or bleed the ink just enough that the dimension you need is the one you can't read. Your tape hasn't retracted on its own since November. If you've put in a winter here, none of this is news. It's just Tuesday. Bring good boots.
SUPPORT ELEMENT
You will not be sent in on bad intel. Design, drafting, engineering coordination, permitting, estimating, and construction all run through one team under one roof. We plan the whole build sequence before anyone breaks ground and find what's wrong with the plans before you find it with a saw. Materials get staged. Layout is thought through. When you show up, the work is ready. We ask for a hard day. We make sure the day is worth working.
PAY & BENEFITS
Less exciting than the rest of this document. Considerably more important. $30-$40/hour, depending on skill and experience . More time in the trade and more you can already do moves you up the band — and you'll know your exact starting number before you take the job. No-interest company tool loans if you want to buy your own tools We don't run overtime. Our schedules are built so we don't need it. If it happens, it's paid at time and a half — but the plan is always that you finish the week at 40 hours.
