Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including residential remodeling, restoration, and new construction. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings, handling hand and power tools safely, and working efficiently on-site will be essential to delivering exceptional results. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of carpentry tasks. Construct, install, repair, and remodel structures using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines. Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and tile laying with accuracy and attention to detail. Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining strict adherence to power tool safety protocols. Measure materials accurately for cutting and assembly; utilize woodworking machines for precision work. Support remodeling projects by assembling cabinetry, installing fixtures, caulking joints, and applying stucco or other wood construction materials as needed. Collaborate with team members to interpret construction plans and ensure compliance with safety standards on the job site. Experience Proven construction estimating skills with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently. Extensive hands-on experience in residential carpentry, including framing, trim work, door hanging, fixture installation, and remodeling. Familiarity with woodworking tools—both hand tools and power tools—and woodworking machines used in framing and finishing tasks. Demonstrated ability to work safely with power tools for woodworking and handle heavy lifting safely on construction sites. Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols including power tool safety practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into quality craftsmanship on-site.
