We are seeking a skilled Commercial Wood Framing Carpenter to support the construction of a new credit union facility in Howard, WI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural wood framing for commercial applications and the ability to work from architectural blueprints to ensure precise execution.

Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:

Construct and install wood framing for commercial structures, specifically focusing on the interior and exterior build-out of a credit union. Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to determine framing layouts and material requirements. Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using power tools, including circular saws and miter saws. Install wall studs, floor joists, rafters, and trusses according to project plans and building codes. Ensure all framing components are plumb, level, and square to meet strict architectural standards. Install exterior sheathing, subflooring, and blocking as required by project specifications. Collaborate with project leads and other trades to ensure timely completion of the framing phase. Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations. Operate framing nailers, drills, and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter with a specific focus on commercial wood framing. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction blueprints and schematics. In-depth knowledge of wood framing techniques, materials, and structural requirements. Experience working on commercial projects such as financial institutions, retail, or office spaces. Possession of basic carpentry hand and power tools required for wood framing. Reliable transportation and a commitment to punctuality for the duration of the contract. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction crew.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for the duration of a standard shift. Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms. Must possess the manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for precision cutting and assembly. Ability to work in outdoor construction environments and adapt to varying weather conditions. Strict adherence to OSHA safety standards, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
