As a Carpenter at Grand Geneva, you will perform daily and preventive maintenance to keep hotel buildings and equipment in optimal condition with minimal downtime, while supporting continuous improvement of engineering services for guests and associates under the direction of the Director of Resort Maintenance. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. We are a longstanding symbol of home and family, rooted in tradition and eager to shape a brighter future together. What will you be doing? Perform daily shift reports; document all calls in Carpenter log. Follow all OSHA standards. Maintain interior and exterior of hotel building(s). Respond to guest calls and associate requests in a timely manner.
Assist in cost control:
Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water. Repair and or maintain the following: All building and FF&E Fire Alarm and Life Safety equipment Attend all required Engineering Department and other meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. What do you bring to the role? High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous carpentry experience required. Wood refinishing experience required. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action and implement solutions. Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools. Must be service oriented and have the ability to take direction. Responds to situations as they arise with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain composure and remain pleasant under high pressure situations. Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. What's in it for you?
