  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated lead Finish Carpenter to join the Menzl team.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in both residential framing and finish carpentry, with hands-on experience in various aspects of the trade. As a Lead Finish Carpenter, you will not only be responsible for executing the highest standard of craftsmanship, but also for guiding others on the job site, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring projects are completed to our uncompromising standards. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.
Duties Precision Craftsmanship:
Execute high-end finish carpentry installations including but not limited to: custom built-ins, crown molding, casing, baseboards, wainscoting, cabinetry, and custom door/window installations, etc.
Site & Crew Leadership:
Provide guidance and direction to apprentice carpenters, general laborers, and assistants on-site to ensure work meets quality benchmarks and stays on schedule. Use company systems to provide updates, and keep everyone informed of status of the project.
Plan Interpretation & Layout:
Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and cut lists to accurately lay out intricate trim work and finish details ahead of the crew.
Cross-Functional Execution:
Utilize a working knowledge of residential framing to troubleshoot structural variations, ensuring walls and openings are properly prepped for flawless finish applications.
Material & Quality Control:
Inspect delivered millwork and materials for accuracy and quality, minimizing waste and addressing any discrepancies immediately.
Collaboration:
Work seamlessly alongside Project Managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain a safe, clean, and highly efficient job site. Requirements Proven experience needed for Lead Finish Carpenter role. Strong knowledge of construction site procedures. Familiarity with various construction techniques in order to complete tasks . Excellent problem solving skills with a focus on high quality craftsmanship. Must be able to lift heavy materials regularly throughout the workday. A valid driver's license is required.
