Position Summary This position is responsible for operating carpentry equipment to assist in building parts of interior and exterior of ships, and shipyard buildings at our vast, 63-acre facility. The role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, assembling components, and operating carpentry tools and equipment to support ship construction, repair, and dock operations. Essential Functions Follow instructions under intermittent supervision and review blueprints/specifications to determine work requirements.

Measure, mark, cut, and install wood components for ship and building structures.

Operate carpentry tools/equipment and assist with docking and undocking vessels.

Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper storage and handling of all tools.

Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed while adhering to all safety, quality, and environmental policies.

Maintain reliable attendance and work energetically in a waterfront environment while following organizational procedures. Other duties and overtime as assigned
