Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to projects that transform spaces and improve communities. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, cabinetry, doors, windows, siding, drywall, and trim with precision. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for woodworking, framing, roofing, and finishing work. Fabricate custom wood components using woodworking machines and fabrication techniques. Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, moldings, and hardware while ensuring proper alignment and finish quality. Perform restoration work including water damage remediation, stucco repairs, siding replacement, and mold remediation. Assist with heavy lifting and material handling on construction sites while following safety protocols. Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to meet project specifications efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in residential carpentry or general construction. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, sanders; woodworking machines; and metal stud framing equipment. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material specifications for wood construction materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively. Familiarity with installation techniques for flooring, tile laying, drywall finishing, caulking, plastering, roofing systems, siding installation, and fixture mounting. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; excellent communication abilities; reliable team player committed to safety and quality workmanship.
