Job Description
Fairmont Kitchen Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking person who wants more than just another construction job. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the kitchen and bath remodeling trade and build a career in skilled interior construction. You do not need to know everything coming in. We are specifically looking for someone we can train. You will work directly alongside experienced craftsmen and learn how complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects come together from start to finish. What You'll Learn Cabinet installation and finish carpentry Kitchen and bathroom remodeling Basic plumbing and electrical work Drywall and wall preparation Trim and finish work Flooring and tile Demolition and job preparation Reading scopes and understanding how a remodeling project is built Proper tool use and professional jobsite practices Troubleshooting real-world construction problems This is not a position where we expect you to spend your career carrying materials for somebody else. The goal is to develop you into a skilled remodeling craftsman with the opportunity to continue advancing as your abilities grow. Why Kitchen & Bath Remodeling? You can build a career in construction without spending your life framing houses in the heat, roofing in the summer, or digging footers in the winter. Most of our work is performed inside customers' homes in finished, climate-controlled environments. You will also be learning higher-value interior and finish skills that can take years to develop and create significant long-term career opportunities. Who You'll Learn From You will work as part of a three-person team led by one of FKC's most experienced construction professionals. This is an opportunity to learn from craftsmen with decades of experience in remodeling, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, finish work, and construction problem-solving. If you're willing to work, listen, and learn, we'll teach you. What We're Looking For Some construction or hands-on experience is preferred, but extensive remodeling experience is not required. We are more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and work ethic.
