You must have your own dive gear (7mm well fitted dive suit, dive hood, mask, snorkle, weight belt, fins with dive boots, and regulator). I provide tools for the job, air supply, and gloves. Rash guards are strongly recommended. This is a highly physically demanding job that's like a gym membership as well as a great opportunity to learn a rare trade skill that can lead to many advanced life changing opportunities, in some rare cases ownership of your own business. We meet in Channel Islands Harbor at workboat (contact me for details). Time we work Mon-Fri 6am-11:30am. Pay rate varies based on experience and performance, and I will train qualified applicants at $120/day for a minimum 90 day probationary period. Opportunities to make more money per day up to $200 and up for these time slots is possible depending on production levels completed accurately, consistently. Duties Conduct underwater inspections of structures, including boats, docks, and marine facilities to identify damage or deterioration of sacrificial anodes Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning, and repairs on submerged equipment and infrastructure Operate specialized diving equipment including scuba gear, underwater tools Assist in installing or removing underwater components like anodes (zincs) Follow all safety procedures and protocols rigorously to ensure personal safety and that of team members during dives Document inspection findings and maintenance activities accurately for reporting purposes Collaborate with harbor patrol, NAVY, and Coast Guard teams to coordinate dive projects Requirements Valid commercial diving certification from an accredited program demonstrating proficiency in underwater techniques and safety standards Mechanical knowledge with experience operating marine vessels and equipment such as power tools. Outdoor work experience in physically demanding environments including underwater maintenance of hulls of boats and marine harbor structures. Strong understanding of dive PADI rules and regualtions Familiarity with underwater diving, and working with tools outdoors. Knowledge of safety protocols related to diving operations as well as general outdoor work safety standards Ability to work in challenging weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and safety consciousness Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and team coordination Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible impact!
