Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Concrete Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various concrete-related tasks on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help bring construction visions to life, from foundation work to finishing touches. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in concrete work and construction processes while contributing to impactful projects. Duties Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create durable structures and surfaces. Set up and dismantle formwork using carpentry skills, including framing and trim carpentry techniques. Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete elements. Operate power tools and heavy equipment such as concrete pumps, mixers, and lifting machinery safely and effectively. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution. Perform heavy lifting tasks, including moving materials and equipment around the site while maintaining safety protocols. Support installation of hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry elements. Skills Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience operating power tools and heavy equipment. Strong understanding of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation. Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping processes. Experience with masonry work, tile laying, stucco application, plastering, roofing, restoration projects, and flooring installation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety standards; familiarity with OSHA regulations preferred. Knowledge of metal stud framing, framing carpentry, caulking, trim carpentry, welding, and roofing is a plus. Construction site experience including renovation projects; familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous.
