This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from foundational work to decorative hardscapes. As a Concrete Laborer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that each project meets safety standards, quality expectations, and deadlines. Duties Assist with concrete mixing using concrete mixers and power tools to prepare materials for pouring and finishing. Set up formwork and falsework according to blueprint specifications, ensuring proper alignment and stability. Install rebar reinforcement following detailed construction plans and technical drawings to strengthen concrete structures. Pour concrete into forms, operate concrete pumps, and level surfaces with hand tools and trowels for smooth finishes. Cut, shape, and install concrete components such as curbs, slabs, stairs, and decorative hardscape elements. Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing protective gear, adhering to construction workplace safety regulations, and maintaining a clean work environment. Support heavy lifting tasks and assist with the installation of metal stud framing, stucco, plastering, caulking, and tile laying as needed. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and cutting techniques. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to execute precise tasks. Hands-on experience operating hand tools and power tools commonly used in concrete work and general carpentry. Understanding of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprint specifications accurately. Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures and safety regulations specific to construction workplaces. Previous experience with rebar installation, concrete pumping, metal stud framing, or hardscape projects is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
