The ideal candidate is comfortable with hands-on construction work and working outdoors as part of a crew. Duties will vary by project and may include preparing work areas, setting forms, assisting with concrete pours, moving materials, supporting finishers, and cleaning the job site. We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to work, and able to follow instructions in an active construction environment. Compensation Starting wage is $18.50 per hour . Actual pay will be discussed during the hiring process and may vary depending on the applicant's previous construction experience, skills, and qualifications. Job Duties Assist with concrete preparation, placement, and pouring Prepare work areas before concrete operations begin Help with forms, layout, and general site preparation Spread, level, and screed freshly placed concrete Assist experienced concrete finishers during pours Move and organize construction materials and equipment Load and unload tools and supplies Safely use common hand and power tools Strip and remove concrete forms when required Maintain clean and organized work areas Assist with demolition, cleanup, and other general construction duties as needed Follow supervisor instructions and company safety procedures Work cooperatively with other members of the field crew Qualifications Valid California Driver's License required Previous concrete or general construction experience Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the workday Ability to lift and move construction materials and equipment Comfortable working outdoors and in varying job-site conditions Must be dependable and arrive to scheduled work on time Ability to understand and follow instructions Willingness to assist with different construction tasks depending on project needs Preferred Experience Applicants with previous experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: Concrete placement and pouring Concrete preparation and finishing support Formwork Site preparation Residential construction Commercial construction Demolition and general construction Schedule Typical workday: approximately 8 hours per day. Workdays and weekly hours may vary depending on current projects, job-site requirements, and scheduling needs.
