Malibu, CA Job Details Full-time From $40 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Parental leave Retirement plan Qualifications OSHA (regulatory compliance area) Construction resource coordination Construction industry experience Construction team management Concrete Delegation Full Job Description I'm looking for someone with 10+ years of hands-on concrete/construction experience, preferably someone who started in the field and moved into superintendent-level management.They should be able to:
Know concrete inside and out : foundations, footings, slabs, walls, retaining walls, structural concrete, rebar, formwork, embeds, elevations, finishes, pours, curing, waterproofing coordination, etc. Read plans independently : architectural, structural, civil/site plans, details, sections, schedules and specifications. Catch problems before work is installed and recognize when something in the plans doesn't work in the field. Understand codes, OSHA/safety requirements, inspections and basic California construction requirements. Communicate directly with GCs, superintendents, architects, inspectors and other trades. Attend jobsite meetings and represent MAC without CEO having to be there. Manage MAC's foremen and field employees across multiple jobsites. Visit jobs and make sure crews are building according to plans, scope, schedule and MAC's quality standards. Take calls from GCs and employees throughout the day and make decisions/delegate instead of forwarding everything to CEO. Coordinate concrete pours, material, equipment, pumps, inspections and deliveries. Identify extra work/change-order situations before MAC performs work for free. Track job progress and report back to Miguel and you. Handle field problems, employee issues and scheduling conflicts. Know when something is outside the contract scope and communicate that to the GC. Be strong enough operationally that CEO can step away from day-to-day field operations without everything stoppingPay:
