Engineering materials Technician - Experienced Concrete, Soils, or Asphalt Testing & Insp

The Colorado-based VIVID Engineering Group, Inc. (VIVID) is looking for Experienced Department of Transportation consultants to serve as Project Engineer, Assistant Project Engineer, Senior Inspector, Inspector, Senior Technician and technicians on Colorado Department of Transportation and Federal Highways transportation project across the Colorado Front Range. These positions will expand our Colorado Springs, Denver, and Pueblo (Positions available in all 3 offices) Colorado operations that focus on transportation, municipal, utilities, industrial/power, and commercial markets.

VIVID performs the following services:

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Environmental Services
• Construction Management
• Construction Inspections
• Construction Materials Testing Candidates will work under the supervision of senior engineers and senior construction managers.

The candidates should be willing to take on project level field and laboratory assignments, depending on level. The candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Assignments will be at the project site. VIVID is looking for personnel at all levels to work on Colorado Department of Transportation, Federal Highways, and local municipality projects across Colorado.

Responsibilities/Skills:

Responsibilities will depend on level/years of experience and include the following:

• Inspections on embankments, utilities, asphalt, structural concrete, concrete paving, flatwork, ADA compliance, traffic control, erosion control, etc.
• Field and laboratory testing of concrete, soils, aggregates, asphalt, grouts, etc.
• Drilled Shaft Inspections
• Quantity tracking
• Nonconformance identification
• Acceptance and rejection of the work
• Daily field reporting of inspections and tests performed

Inspectors:

Will consider degreed and non-degreed candidates dependent on experience and certifications held

Technicians:

Will consider degreed and non-degreed candidates dependent on experience and certifications held

Experience, Licenses, and Certifications:

Looking for Inspectors and Technicians with at least one year of prior experience. Looking for staff with one or more of the following certifications: ACI Field, Strength, Aggregates WAQTC Soils CAPA Levels
