This role requires true curb and gutter expertise — candidates must be able to freehand curb by hand, without relying on a slip form paver, and must know curb and gutter work inside and out. Candidates will be tested on their finishing ability prior to being hired.

Select Responsibilities:

Must be able to freehand curb by hand and have strong, proven curb and gutter finishing skills. 5+ years of concrete finishing experience including hand cutting radius and handicap ramps. Experience with and operational knowledge of modern slip form pavers is a plus. Ability to operate magnesium and wood floats, trowels, curb mules, etc. Operate equipment such as skid steers, wheel loaders, jumping jacks, etc. Responsible for correction of any deficient workmanship and sub-standard work. Must be able to provide own transportation to and from worksite. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. The job is physically demanding requiring frequent bending at the waist, reaching, kneeling and/or squatting. The job also requires working in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme heat and moderate cold. Wear all safety equipment — hard hats, vests, and other PPE as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with and operational knowledge of modern slip form pavers. Ability to read construction plans. Must be able to freehand curb and gutter
