Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Concrete Form Carpenters for an immediate opportunity in Fort Myers, FL! Long-term project with overtime available and potential for permanent employment!
Job Details Pay:
$25.00-$30.00/hour, based on experience
Hours:
7:00 AM-3:30
PM Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 40-48 hours per week

ASAP Duration:
Temporary-to-permanent Concrete Form Carpenters will build, install, and dismantle formwork for commercial concrete construction. Candidates must have hands-on experience with commercial concrete forming, slab preparation, structural beams, precast decking, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement while maintaining high-quality and safety standards on the job site.
Key Skills & Experience Slab Prep & Topping Slabs:
Experienced in grading, leveling, and preparing surfaces for slab pours, as well as installing and finishing topping slabs.
Forming & Tie Beams:
Skilled in building and setting up commercial formwork for heavy structural tie beams, beams, and columns.
Precast Decks:
Confident working around and installing precast concrete plank and deck systems.
Forming & Tying Steel:
Proficient in constructing wood and metal forms and tying rebar steel cages to reinforce concrete structures.
Concrete Pumping:
Experienced in managing, directing, and placing concrete using boom pumps and line pumps. Responsibilities Build and level formwork for footers, foundation walls, tie beams, beams, and columns. Set edge forms, bulkhead forms, and expansion joints for commercial concrete slabs. Grade, level, and prepare surfaces for concrete slab pours. Install and finish topping slabs and finished concrete floors. Construct elevated formwork, shoring, and decking systems for concrete beams. Work with precast concrete plank and deck systems. Build parapet wall forms and perform layout work at elevated heights. Construct wood and metal forms and tie rebar steel cages for structural reinforcement. Install screed rails and forms for concrete toppings. Assist with and direct concrete placement using boom and line pumps. Ensure forms are properly aligned, square, level, and securely braced before concrete placement. Read grades, layouts, and specifications to ensure accurate form installation. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications Previous commercial concrete form carpentry experience required . Experience with footers, slabs, beams, tie beams, toppings, columns, and parapet formwork. Experience with slab preparation, grading, leveling, and topping slabs. Experience working with precast concrete plank/deck systems. Experience constructing forms and tying rebar steel cages. Concrete pumping experience with boom and/or line pumps preferred. Ability to read grades and build forms according to specifications. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to work safely at elevated heights. Ability to stand, crouch, twist, and perform physical job duties throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Must have standard form carpenter hand tools. Must be able to wear and properly use required PPE.
