•38$ hour Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Installer / Crew Leader with strong hands-on knowledge of epoxy flooring, resinous flooring systems, polished concrete, and concrete surface preparation. The Lead Installer is responsible for leading the installation crew and ensuring the flooring work is completed correctly, safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. The Lead Installer remains actively involved in the field and is expected to work alongside the installation team while providing technical direction, troubleshooting issues, coordinating daily job-site activities, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate can review plans and specifications, understand the flooring system being installed, determine appropriate preparation and installation procedures, and lead a crew. Key Responsibilities Lead installation crews on commercial and industrial polished concrete and epoxy flooring projects. Perform hands-on installation work alongside crew members when required. Review plans, specifications, drawings, and flooring-system requirements before work begins. Determine appropriate preparation and installation procedures based on project requirements. Lead concrete surface preparation, grinding, shot blasting, repairs, and coating installation. Ensure proper installation of epoxy, resinous coatings, polished concrete, urethane, polyaspartic, and related flooring systems. Oversee crack repair, joint preparation, moisture mitigation, and other concrete Train, mentor, and provide direction to installers and less-experienced crew members. Assign daily tasks and help maintain productivity throughout the project. Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needed for field installation. Monitor workmanship and ensure quality-control requirements are met. Identify installation problems and make appropriate technical decisions in the field. Troubleshoot surface-preparation, moisture, equipment, coating, or installation issues. Communicate job-site progress, challenges, and needs to Project Managers, Superintendents, and company leadership. Communicate professionally with customers and other contractors when necessary. Maintain job-site safety and ensure crew compliance with company policies and PPE requirements. Help keep projects on schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards. Maintain ownership and accountability for assigned installation work. Required Experience Minimum 5 years of direct hands-on experience in polished concrete, epoxy flooring, resinous flooring systems, or specialty concrete coatings. 5-10 years of industry construccion-flooring experience strongly preferred.

Strong hands-on knowledge of:

Polished concrete, Epoxy flooring, Resinous coating systems, Surface preparation, Grinding, Shot blasting, Crack repair, Moisture mitigation, Urethane systems, Polyaspartic systems Previous experience leading installers or field crews.

Ability to read and interpret:

Blueprints, Construction drawings, Architectural details, Project specifications Ability to identify the appropriate flooring system and installation process. Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of quality-control standards and project closeout requirements. Ability to lead crews while remaining hands-on in the installation process. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability and willingness to travel when required. Ability to perform physically demanding field work and lift 50+ lbs. Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and applicable customer/job-site requirements.

Pay:

$28.00

•$38.00 per hour
