Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher/Concrete Former to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and ensuring the quality of concrete structures on various construction projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life through precise concrete work, contributing to durable and aesthetically pleasing results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial developments to renovation sites, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver exceptional craftsmanship. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute concrete forming and finishing accurately. Construct formwork using carpentry skills, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and adherence to specifications. Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprint specifications for structural integrity. Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently for pouring, cutting, and finishing concrete surfaces. Perform concrete pouring, finishing, smoothing, and texturing to achieve desired surface quality and appearance. Conduct concrete cutting and demolition as needed during renovation or repair projects. Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete forming and finishing. Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in concrete work. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing methods. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment operation relevant to concrete work. Understanding of construction estimating processes related to material needs and project timelines is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence in accordance with construction workplace safety regulations. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, masonry techniques, plastering, flooring installation, and concrete pumping systems.
