Pay:
$20.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill

Paid at 1.5× after 40 hours
Primary Location:
Ocala, Florida Innovative Curbs is an established, family-owned Central Florida concrete contractor with more than 25 years of experience. We specialize in commercial curb, sidewalks, ADA ramps, concrete paving, flatwork, drainage structures, and related concrete construction. We are looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher/Form Setter who takes pride in quality work and can perform forming and finishing duties with limited supervision. This is an experienced position. Applicants should be comfortable setting forms, working with line and grade, reading construction stakes and elevations, and forming and finishing commercial concrete accurately and consistently. Employees report to our Ocala location and/or designated Central Florida job sites. Reliable transportation is required. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and demonstrated ability Overtime opportunities Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours Full-time, consistent work Health insurance - company contributes 50% toward the employee's health insurance premium Dental and vision insurance available Short-term disability insurance available Long-term disability insurance available Life insurance available Paid time off and paid holidays 401(k) with up to a 4% company match Opportunities for advancement and increased pay based on skill, reliability, and responsibility Responsibilities Set forms for curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, concrete paving, slabs, pads, and other flatwork Set forms accurately to proper line, grade, elevation, and location Read and understand construction stakes, elevations, jobsite markings, plans, and specifications Form both straight runs and radius curb Form and finish various commercial curb profiles, including: Type F curb Type D curb Type E curb Type A curb Miami curb Ribbon curb RA curb Other specialty concrete curb Place, screed, float, edge, broom, and finish concrete Accurately level freshly placed concrete according to required grade, elevation, and depth Use finishing tools and equipment including hand floats, bull floats, screeds, edgers, brooms, and related tools Saw-cut control joints as required Prepare and fine-grade base material when necessary Assist with pouring concrete, stripping forms, saw cutting, cleanup, and other concrete operations as needed Identify jobsite or concrete-related issues and communicate possible solutions Maintain high-quality workmanship and follow project specifications Follow company and jobsite safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications 3+ years of concrete forming and finishing experience preferred Demonstrated skill and ability may substitute for years of experience Experience forming and finishing commercial concrete, curb, sidewalks, flatwork, pads, and/or concrete paving Ability to set forms accurately to line and grade Ability to read and understand construction stakes and elevations Experience forming straight and radius curb Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work effectively as part of a crew Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation required Ability to report to our Ocala location and/or assigned Central Florida job sites Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Ability to perform physically demanding concrete work throughout the workday Ability to regularly bend, kneel, squat, crouch, climb, push, pull, lift, and carry Ability to stand and work for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat, rain, cold, and changing weather conditions
