Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Superintendent / Concrete Layout Specialist to join our construction team. This pivotal role blends leadership with technical expertise to ensure precise concrete layout and alignment on projects, contributing directly to the overall success and quality of our builds. Responsibilities Assist in supervising construction activities related to concrete layout, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards. Perform precise concrete layout work including setting grades, forms, and rebar placement according to blueprints and specifications. Use surveying equipment and layout tools to verify and adjust measurements on site. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and material availability. Monitor work progress and quality, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively. Maintain accurate documentation of layout activities, inspections, and modifications. Support safety initiatives by enforcing compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and laborers in layout procedures and best practices. Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in concrete layout or related construction roles. Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, blueprint reading, and layout techniques. Proficiency with layout tools such as transit levels, total stations, laser levels, and tape measures. Familiarity with construction safety standards and ability to enforce them on site. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
