This position involves placing, finishing, curing, and repairing structural and flatwork concrete for DOT, public and private projects, including bridges, culverts, sidewalks, curb, and drainage structures. Key Responsibilities Place, screed, float, edge, broom, and finish structural and flatwork concrete Finish concrete for: Sidewalks, curb and gutter, and pedestrian concrete features Manholes and drainage structures Box and pipe culverts, headwalls, wing walls, and aprons Bridge decks, abutments, piers, caps, and footings Finish concrete surfaces to meet DOT specifications and tolerances Operate and maintain finishing tools including screeds, bull floats, hand trowels, grinders, edgers, jointers, and vibrators Apply curing compounds, sealers, and surface treatments Install and tool control joints and expansion joints Repair concrete defects including honeycombing, spalls, cracks, and surface imperfections Read and follow plans, grades, elevations, slope, and ADA requirements Work closely with carpenters, laborers, equipment operators, and inspectors Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Follow all jobsite safety and quality standards Required Qualifications Proven experience with culvert and drainage concrete work Knowledge of concrete mixes, curing methods, and finishing techniques Ability to work outdoors Ability to lift 50+ lbs Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications 1-2+ years of experience in heavy civil concrete finishing Willing to offer on the job training DOT or public works experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience finishing vertical and formed concrete Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance, Accident, and Critical Illness Coverage Employer-paid $20,000 Life Insurance Policy 401(k) with Employer Match Overtime opportunities Long-term, stable infrastructure work Competitive pay based on experience Company Overview Southeastern Site Development, Inc. is a leading heavy civil construction company operating throughout Georgia.
