Atlanta, GA (with some Southeast travel)

Compensation:

$70,000-$80,000 + full benefits package (100% covered healthcare for you and your family & 30 days of PTO) Our client is a self-performing GC headquartered in Atlanta that has been running its own concrete operation for 20+ years. GC projects typically run $50M-$250M total, mostly multifamily, with the concrete scope falling between $10M and $30M. This Field Engineer role sits on the concrete team, supporting the concrete Superintendent across shop drawings, scheduling, QC, safety, and field execution. What You'll Be Doing Support the concrete Superintendent on day-to-day field operations across self-perform concrete scopes Review subcontractor and supplier shop drawings in detail before submitting to the EOR Coordinate rebar and PT material tracking, deliveries, and sequencing Help develop and execute the Master Construction Schedule and near-term look-aheads Run pre-pour checklists, mockup and pre-installation meetings, and inspect rebar/PT for conformance Maintain daily reports - manpower, deliveries, weather, erosion control, and field activity Enforce the company's Safety Program and lead site-specific safety meetings and audits Participate in BIM coordination and review the model against in-place work Lead and direct field crews through assigned tasks Ideal Background We're open to a range of backgrounds here - what matters most is genuine interest in concrete and structures: Recent graduate in Construction Management or a related engineering discipline Current Field Engineer who wants to be focused in concrete Someone currently at a GC who's ready to narrow their scope to concrete instead of running full projects Foreman or labor background with the drive to grow into a field leadership role Comfortable with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera/P6 is a plus Willing to travel regionally between project sites Why This Role Path to grow into a Superintendent role over time — a track record of developing field engineers into long-term leaders 100% covered healthcare for you and your family 30 days of PTO Multifamily project pipeline with meaningful concrete scopes Tight-knit team that invests in people who want to build a career in concrete This search is being conducted by NewCrew, a recruiting firm specializing in the construction, engineering, and architecture industries.
