Role:
Bolton Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Specialist to join our construction team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience placing, forming, reinforcing, pouring, finishing, and repairing concrete for a wide variety of commercial, civil, and residential projects. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of concrete placement techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing durable, high-quality work safely and efficiently. This position will be primarily focused on structural and architectural concrete work, including pools & spas, foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, retaining walls, equipment pads, and other cast-in-place concrete applications. Team members may also assist with concrete-related site work, forming, grading, reinforcing, and other construction activities as needed. Concrete Specialists at Bolton play a critical role in delivering projects that serve the long-term infrastructure and development needs of our island community. Key Responsibilities Construct, set, and strip concrete forms. Place, tie, and install reinforcing steel, wire mesh, anchor bolts, embeds, and other reinforcement according to project specifications. Place, screed, float, edge, broom, trowel, and finish concrete to meet structural, architectural, and finish-quality requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grade stakes, elevations, and construction drawings to ensure accurate layout and execution. Repair, patch, and restore existing concrete surfaces as required. Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards on-site Assist with concrete pours, including placement, vibration, consolidation, curing, and protection of finished work. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials Qualifications 5+ years of masonry experience in a construction setting Ability to work with a variety of materials (block, brick, concrete, stone) Strong understanding of construction methods, site safety, and layout tools Physical ability to lift heavy materials, bend, climb, and work in outdoor conditions Familiarity with reading construction drawings and measuring accurately Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to quality craftsmanship Valid driver's license What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (DOE) Health, dental, and vision benefits (after eligibility period) Paid time off, holidays, and wellness days Opportunities for growth A strong team culture that values accountability, respect, and craftsmanship
