In this role, you will assist in the completion of concrete finishing projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and visually appealing surfaces. You will work alongside skilled tradespeople to prepare, pour, and finish concrete on various construction sites, contributing to high-quality results that meet project specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to achieve desired surface quality and smoothness. Set up and dismantle formwork using carpentry skills, ensuring proper alignment and stability according to blueprints and technical drawings. Install rebar reinforcement as specified in construction plans to strengthen concrete structures. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for concrete placement, finishing, and restoration projects. Support the installation of various concrete elements such as curbs, sidewalks, slabs, or decorative hardscape features. Skills Power saws, trowels, and other finishing equipment. Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and formwork construction methods. Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete pouring techniques, cutting, finishing, and pumping processes. Understanding of construction site safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools. Experience working on diverse construction projects such as restoration, renovation, roofing support, masonry work, flooring installation, or stucco application. Ability to interpret blueprint specifications for precise execution of tasks like framing or metal stud framing when needed.
