Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Finisher and bring your expertise in creating durable, high-quality concrete surfaces! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and detailing concrete to meet project specifications while adhering to safety standards. Duties Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution. Install rebar reinforcement and formwork structures to support concrete placement according to safety and design standards. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently on construction sites. Perform concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and sealing tasks while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Assist with masonry work, stucco application, drywall installation, and other related renovation or restoration tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members including carpenters, masons, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in concrete finishing and construction work. Proven experience with construction estimating processes for labor, materials, and project timelines. Expertise in hardscape installation including paving stones, retaining walls, and decorative concrete features. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in concrete forming techniques such as formwork construction and rebar installation for structural integrity. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards; committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Proficiency with hand tools (trowels, floats), power tools (drills, saws), heavy lifting equipment, and concrete pumping systems. Experience working on diverse construction projects involving flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, restoration or renovation work.
