Sitar Construction is an open-shop, commercial and industrial structural restoration contractor specializing in concrete, steel, and wood restoration. We perform complex restoration and repair work throughout the Chicagoland area and across the United States. We're looking for an experienced Foreman / Field Supervisor who can take ownership of a jobsite, lead a crew, plan ahead, and get the work done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
As a Foreman / Field Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of your jobsites and the crews working on them.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and direct field crews of approximately 2-10 employees . Plan daily work and keep crews productive and prepared for upcoming activities. Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and scope of work. Coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, and site access to keep work moving. Oversee concrete forming, placement, finishing, demolition, repair, and related restoration activities. Operate and oversee the safe use of company vehicles, trailers, lifts, and other jobsite equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite and enforce company safety requirements. Monitor work quality and ensure completed work meets project requirements. Identify potential problems early and work with the Project Manager to develop solutions. Communicate daily progress, manpower, materials, equipment needs, and jobsite issues to the Project Manager. Plan ahead for upcoming work and ensure crews have the materials, equipment, information, and access needed to perform the work. Track and manage tools, materials, and equipment assigned to the project. Help coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, deliveries, and other jobsite activities as required. Recognize changes in field conditions or project scope and communicate them to the Project Manager. Take ownership of the jobsite and help keep projects safe, productive, organized, and on schedule .

FOREMAN / FIELD SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of field construction experience required ; previous foreman, lead, or field supervision experience is a plus. Experience with concrete forming, placement, finishing, demolition, and repair . Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project plans . Ability to effectively lead and manage a crew of 2-10 employees . Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan ahead and keep work moving . Effective, concise communication skills with field employees, Project Managers, subcontractors, and others. Ability to competently operate or learn to operate company vehicles, trailers, lifts, and other jobsite equipment . Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from jobsites. Willingness to travel for out-of-state projects is a plus. Travel, lodging, and approved expenses are covered by the company. TWIC Card or ability to obtain one is a plus. TWIC costs are reimbursable by the company. Learn more about TWIC OSHA and construction-related training or certifications are a plus. Must be 18 years of age or older . Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and working in various positions throughout the workday . Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, and direct sunlight . Ability to wear a respirator when required by job conditions and safety requirements . Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English . Willingness to follow company safety policies and jobsite procedures .
