Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming freshly poured concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet precise specifications. Your expertise in finishing techniques, blueprint interpretation, and safety protocols will ensure high-quality results on a variety of construction projects. Duties Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks. Install rebar and formwork according to specifications to prepare for concrete pouring and ensure structural integrity. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently. Perform concrete cutting, pouring, sealing, caulking, and applying decorative finishes like stucco or plastering as needed. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and protocols. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to complete renovation, restoration, or new construction projects on time and within scope. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry. Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery used in concrete work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to follow detailed specifications. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, floats, screeds, saws, drills, and other relevant equipment. Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing processes like tile laying or flooring installation is preferred. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
