Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Foundation and Flatwork Laborer, where your hands-on skills and enthusiasm will contribute to building durable, high-quality structures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from residential renovations to commercial developments. Duties Assist with the preparation and layout of concrete foundations and flatwork according to blueprints and technical drawings. Operate hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumps safely and efficiently to facilitate pouring, finishing, and cutting. Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork for concrete structures following specified plans and safety protocols. Perform concrete pouring, finishing, screeding, troweling, and curing processes to ensure smooth surfaces that meet quality standards. Support with heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to accurately execute tasks aligned with project requirements. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently while adhering to company safety protocols during all phases of work. Experience Prior experience working on construction sites with concrete foundation and flatwork projects is highly preferred. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, formwork construction, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques. Familiarity with heavy machinery such as concrete mixers, pumps, saws for cutting concrete, and other power tools. Understanding of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety practices. Skills in carpentry, drywall installation, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, or related trades are advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately while working on renovation or restoration projects. Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions is essential.
